ed2go Featured Article: New Online Administration Center Login

We recently sent out an important email regarding our technology updates and provided you with the URL for the New Online Administration Center Login. We'd like to remind you of the new and exciting changes that are coming up soon and give you another chance to review the communication:

Overview
The ed2go technology upgrade of our platform architecture and infrastructure will occur the weekend of November 28, 2009. Please note the following additional changes:

The login to your Online Administration Center will be changed effective Monday, November 30th. The new login URL is http://admin.ed2go.com. (PLEASE NOTE: This link will not be live until November 30th.) Bookmark this page for future use, and we will redirect you to the new site for a limited period of time. You will be notified when the old site is no longer available.

ed2go section numbers will be changed to reflect a standardized numbering system beginning with the January 2010 session. All section numbers will begin with the letter E followed by a 3 digit course code and 4 digit month/year. For example, Accounting Fundamentals has a 3 digit course code of FUN. The new section number for the months of January and February of 2010 (for example) will be; EFUN0110 and EFUN0210. Click here to view a list of current section numbers and their associated new section numbers.

Course listings on the Catalog page on the Online Administration Center now include new department names to help you find the titles you are looking for. These department names will be the same as shown on the New Online Administration Center, however at your Catalog page they will be displayed alphabetically, by department.

This technology conversion is allowing us to make improvements to the underlying infrastructure where most customer facing pages will see little or no change once the conversion is complete. However, we have made some improvements that we would like to highlight.

In order to convert the system we have a scheduled downtime starting at 8:00PM Saturday, November 28th through 8:00PM Sunday November 29th. The Online Instruction Center, Classroom, and Online Administration Center will be down during this time. Students visiting the Online Instruction Center will see a message that the site is down and when it will be available again.

Online Instruction Center improvements include:

  • New layout for catalog and course detail - more user friendly and attractive
  • Removal of Orientation link in the top and bottom navigation to eliminate student confusion

Online Administration Center Improvements Include:

  • New Marketing page where you can search for catalog templates, ads, and flyers
  • Improved search functionality for student comments and evaluations

We will do our best to minimize the amount of system downtime. As always, if you have any questions, please contact your Account Manager.

NOTE:  This does not affect students currently enrolled in GES Career Training Programs.

ed2go 2010 Price Increase Notice

We wanted to remind you that effective with the January 2010 session, the wholesale price of the ed2go Online Courses will be increasing. Since we last increased prices two years ago, we've been working hard to hold down costs and implement new initiatives that increase enrollments and revenue for our partners. One of our highest priorities has always been expanding the ed2go course catalog. During this period, we developed and delivered nearly one hundred new high-quality, engaging courses and have seen solid growth across the board as well as in specific areas like teacher professional development, allied health, languages, writing/publishing and business.

Beginning with the January 2010 session:

  • All courses currently wholesale priced at $55 will be $60
  • Certification Prep courses that are currently wholesale priced at $75 will be $80
  • CompTIA courses that are currently wholesale priced at $75 will be $85
  • The Allegra Health Care Continuing Education Certificate Program's pricing is being standardized based on the cost per hour

These prices will be effective beginning with the January 2010 session. New classes released during the remainder of 2009 will be at current prices and change with the January 2010 sessions. Please note that the January session will be available for students on September 30, 2009.  If you choose to adjust your retail prices, please contact your Account Manager who will be able to assist you by changing your catalog prices on a global basis. We appreciate having you as a partner and we're looking forward to serving you in 2010.
