Teams are becoming a staple in today's workplace. In this course, students will follow real-life examples and scenarios to learn the components of a successful team and the stages of its development. They’ll master the skills needed to effectively manage team projects and realize there’s a lot more to it than just getting a number of people in a room together at the same time. Many of today's teams rotate leadership roles, so it's crucial to understand both perspectives as students learn the best ways to communicate and work together for positive change.

Featured Online Career Training Program
Certified Alternative Dispute Resolution Specialist
The Certified Alternative Dispute Resolution Specialist (ADR) program will prepare students for an exciting career in alternative dispute resolution. ADR is the practice of seeking nonlegal alternatives to resolving conflicts and disputes as an alternative to litigation. Through this three-course program, students will learn valuable mediation skills in addition to specialty skills that relate to specific areas of ADR, such as workplace alternative dispute resolution or eldercare alternative dispute resolution. Offered in partnership with Mediators without Borders® (MwB), this program includes a 60-hour online internship and the opportunity to become an MwB Certified Alternative Dispute Resolution Specialist.
Upon completion of the mediator training and two specialty courses, students will be eligible to become a Certified Alternative Dispute Resolution Specialist through Mediators without Borders®. Students will gain an understanding of:
- The principles and theory of conflict resolution
- How to identify the principles of interest-based negotiation and apply them to case studies
- How to articulate and apply advanced communication skills, such as reframing and nonviolent communication
- The impacts of cultural, gender, and ethnic differences on conflict resolution

The 3ds Max program, which has been listed as 360 hours, will now be listed as 300 hours to more accurately reflect how long it's taking students to complete the training. This does not reflect any change to the program content, and the SRP remains $1,695.
