ReadyMATH Is Coming Soon!

ed2go is excited to announce that ReadyMath will officially be open for student enrollment beginning Monday, February 6, 2012. You may remember we recently told you about this new product. We hope you had a chance to include it (along with ed2go's other upcoming product, Credit Recovery) in your upcoming Spring catalog.

ReadyMATH is not only the most innovative program we've introduced, it can also be one of the most financially lucrative for your school. The percentage of students entering Community Colleges who need math remediation has swelled to about 60% for remedial math, based on the best available research. Given the urgency of the issue and the lack of effective solutions in the marketplace, ReadyMATH represents an exceptional opportunity for your school to provide a more effective alternative solution for refreshing anyone's math skills at a lower absolute cost to the student. A "non-traditional" solution for addressing refresher math education has the potential to be the most significant growth area of education in the coming years. Executing an aggressive but attainable rollout will enable you to have first mover position in your college and community.

What Is ReadyMATH?

ReadyMATH is the most advanced system for learning math and test preparation. By design, this program targets and condenses the required instruction to exactly what's needed for each student—no more, no less—enhancing and accelerating the learning process. ReadyMATH assesses students' needs and then targets instruction and practice to fill in their specific knowledge gaps, allowing them to master everything from basic arithmetic to intermediate algebra. Students can work at their own pace, with individualized support from an experienced academic tutor.

It is a very effective way to prepare your students for the following placement exams:

• Compass, Accuplacer, Asset tests
• SAT or ACT
• GED® test

ReadyMATH topics include Basic Arithmetic, Pre-Algebra, Beginning Algebra, and Intermediate Algebra.

Students have the flexibility to study at their own pace combined with enough structure and support to complete the course. And they can access the program 24/7 from anywhere with an Internet connection. New enrollments are processed immediately and students have access to the program for three months.

How Is ReadyMATH Different?

ReadyMATH will be available to students in your Online Instruction Center as a new product type, Academic Success Prep. Students will find ReadyMATH under a new department, College Readiness.This new product type will be easily identifiable because it'll have this icon next to the program title.

This program is unique to the current offerings on your ed2go.com site:

• Students will have three months to complete the program
• Students can begin anytime with open enrollment, there is no set start date
• Students will have access (via email) to an academic tutor, versus a discussion area
• Extensions are available for purchase
• The new icon  helps distinguish this as an open-enrollment course

Enrolling Students in ReadyMATH

Beginning Monday, February 6, students can enroll in ReadyMATH at your Online Instruction Center. Students will have the same payment methods available as your Instructor-Led Courses. As an open enrollment program, students can begin ReadyMATH once they are verified. It will be important for you to verify students as soon as payment has been received. We will send you reminders for any unverified students on your roster. Upon successful completion of the program, students will be able to print their certificate of completion (if applicable).

If you participate in the ed2go opt-in program we will add this course to your catalog, or you can add it to your catalog through your Online Administration Center.

Summer School Credit Recovery

Also coming soon is ed2go's Summer School Credit Recovery program, available to students in Spring 2012. This new addition to the ed2go catalog provides students an affordable, accessible, and flexible alternative to summer school classes...at a time when many districts have reduced or eliminated other options. These courses are available anytime, anywhere. They're SACS accredited, and they allow students to work at their own pace.

The Summer School Credit Recovery courses target high school students looking to make up credits or improve their GPA.
