Feb 2012 - ed2go Updates
Certificate in Holistic and Integrative Health Update
We recently updated the course description of an ed2go Instructor-Led Course, Certificate in Holistic and Integrative Health.
The course description formerly used the phrase integrative nutrition multiple times. We've replaced this phrase with the word nutrition.
We've already updated your ed2go catalog to reflect this change to the course description. Please update your website if you provide program information to your students.
Effectively Marketing Your Teacher Professional Development Courses
Has it been a while since you've promoted your Teacher Professional Development courses? It's not too early to start thinking about increasing your marketing efforts to help boost your summer enrollments! Whether it’s satisfying continuing education requirements, learning new tips and techniques for use in the classroom, or enhancing or learning new skills for their own development, we can help.
We've excerpted a few helpful tips from the April 2011 newsletter that will get you started as you market your Teacher Professional Development courses:
- Use your established relationships with local school boards to find out how you can obtain, rent, or buy a list of their teachers' names and contact information. Then send information (electronic or printed) to likely candidates about the Teacher Professional Development courses. ed2go has a number of marketing templates available here.
- Send fliers to your local schools. Ask them to distribute the fliers in staff mailboxes and post them on bulletin boards in staff lounges. Flier templates are also available here.
- Send a press release to local publications, letting them know that summer is the perfect time for teachers to brush up on existing skills or learn new ones. You can use a catchy heading like "Summer School Isn’t What It Used To Be!"
- Generate an email of previous ed2go students from your school and send those students information about taking Teacher Professional Development courses in the summer. Your Account Manager can show you easy ways to download your previous students list from your Online Administration Center.
ed2go recently published an ad (below) in the Community College Week promoting the Teacher Professional Development program. We also created a new site, http://www.ed2golive.com/teacherdevelopment/, that will provide you with more information if you're not familiar with the program. Consider publishing an ad of your own in your local community publications to promote the program and boost enrollments. We have several teacher marketing templates available on the Marketing Support page, or you can always contact your Account Manager for assistance.
